Having just celebrated the first anniversary of its opening in August of 2021, Rady Shell at Jacobs Park has an outstanding lineup of entertainment covering just about every genre to round out the summer season.
The state-of-the-art outdoor venue is located right on San Diego Bay in San Diego's Embarcadero Marina Park and is the summer home of the San Diego Symphony, the oldest symphony orchestra in California. The venue is breathtaking visually with an unmatched setting on the Bay, but its two sound systems create a truly one-of-a-kind acoustic experience. The L-Acoustics sound system projects sound out to the audience from a combination of suspended speakers and angled acoustic towers, while the stage itself features the first Meyer Constellation Acoustic System ever designed for an outdoor venue, which allows the musicians to hear themselves. You'll easily forget you're outdoors, because the sound quality matches that of a concert hall.
