Accomodations
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express offers a variety of accommodations: historic cabins, suites, and grand suites. No matter which option you choose, you’ll feel relaxed and at home as you admire the continent’s ever-changing landscape from your window. The most luxurious option – the grand suites – offer free-flowing champagne and an experience worthy of royalty. The suites’ 24-hour butler service, private in-cabin dining, spacious marble en-suites and plush lounging areas are indulgent and luxurious.
Dining
The dining experience is five-star in quality, variety, design, and service.
Three dining cars – the L'Oriental, the Côte d’Azur and the Étoile du Nord - offer unique and historic experiences in fully restored 1920s dining cars.
Built in Birmingham in 1927 in the Etoile du Nord style, the L'Oriental was restored and refitted with black lacquer panels befitting of its legendary status.
The Côte d’Azur dining car was built in 1929 and is famed for its stunning René Lalique glass and 20-seat champagne bar.
The Étoile du Nord dining car was built in 1926 and showcases some of the most storied marquetry in the continental rake. All three allow you to enjoy the train’s decadent dining options enveloped in luxury.
Entertainment
The heart of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is Bar Car 3674, where travelers meet over cocktails and the twinkling ivories of the train’s resident pianist fill the space with an invitation to let go. Order your favorite cocktail, revel in the sound of the grand piano, and settle in for an evening of chance encounters with like-minded voyagers. If you find yourself out late, the train’s midnight brunch offers lobster rolls, truffled club sandwiches and champagne to end the night in decadent luxury.
