Rancho Pacifica is a guard gated community centrally located between Carmel Valley and Rancho Santa Fe, made up of approximately 148 homes on roughly 400 acres. Properties range from 5,000 to over 12,000 square feet and over half of the 400 acres is set aside as open space with canyon views. The community has views of the Pacific Ocean and Gonzales Canyon, and the beach towns of Solana Beach and Del Mar are a short drive away.

Rancho Pacifica does not have its own clubhouse or tennis courts, but its location puts some of the best clubs in the region within a short drive. Fairbanks Ranch Country Club is right next door with 27 walkable holes across the Valley, Lakes, and Ocean Nines, along with tennis, a fitness center, and club amenities. Del Mar Country Club, The Santaluz Club, The Farms Golf Club, Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, Morgan Run Club and Resort, Castle Creek Country Club, and Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa are all nearby as well.
The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, San Diego Polo Club, and UC San Diego are all nearby, along with shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment. The Rancho Santa Fe Farmers Market runs every Sunday with locally sourced produce and food vendors.
Recreation
Hiking trails within the community connect to Gonzales Canyon. Torrey Pines State Park and the 4,000 acre Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve are both within a short drive, with trails, canyons, waterfalls, and wildlife throughout.
Several equestrian centers are in the area including Jasmin Stair Stables, Belvedere Stables, Blazing Saddles Stables, Kalimar Farms, South Coast Training Stables, and Cherokee Training Stables.
Schools
Public schools serving the area include Solana Vista Elementary, Earl Warren Middle School, and Torrey Pines High School. Private school options nearby include Cathedral Catholic High School, Santa Fe Christian School, Del Mar Pines School, Horizon Prep, Diegueno Country School, Notre Dame Academy, San Diego Jewish Academy, and Cal Coast Academy.
