The golfing in and around Rancho Santa Fe is world-renowned, with the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club as its centerpiece. This exclusive course is situated in the heart of the community and is known for its exceptional design and challenging yet playable holes. In 1937, Bing Crosby began hosting the pro-am "Clambake," an annual event that brought together professionals and celebrities, adding to the region's golfing prestige until 1942.

• Design Excellence

  Legendary golf course architect Max Behr designed the fairways in 1929, planning the course to blend in with the natural contours of the land. Since then, it has become famous among golfers of all levels and is ranked among the top 100 walkable courses in the United States.

• Course Details

  The Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club 18-hole course spans 7,035 yards and has a par of 72 from the Black Tees. Walking is permitted on the course, allowing you to fully appreciate the beautiful landscape while you play.

Exclusive Community Experience

• Membership

  Membership at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club is exclusive to RSF Association members and is granted through property ownership within The Covenant, creating a private and tight-knit community. Golf Membership is a flat fee to become a member plus month dues.

• Clubhouse Amenities

  You don't have to be a golfer to enjoy the clubhouse's amenities which includes delicious dining options, a lively social calendar, and exciting events for adults and the whole family. From themed dinners to holiday celebrations, cooking classes, and wine tastings, there's always something exciting happening at the RSF Golf Club.

• Golf Course Dress Code

  To maintain standards on the course and practice areas, all members, family, and guests are expected to follow the dress code. Members are responsible for making sure their guests (including non-golfers) are informed.

• For Men

• Collared shirts with sleeves are required with the exception of turtlenecks. Shirts must be tucked in. T-shirts are not permitted.
• Slacks, knickers, or golf shorts no shorter than four inches above the knee are allowed. No denim or cargo shorts.
• Appropriate golf shoes are required. Metal spikes are not allowed.
• Hats must face forward and are not permitted inside the Players Clubhouse.
• All clothing changes, including shoes, must take place in locker rooms.

• For Women

• Golf shirts or tops may have collars or sleeves, but sleeveless tops must include a collar. No plunging necklines. Shirts must remain tucked in. Denim, tank tops, halter tops, cutoffs, and T-shirts are not permitted.

• Golf skirts, slacks, or Bermuda-length shorts are allowed, provided they are fingertip length or longer.

• Leggings, tights, or compression pants may only be worn under skirts, skorts, or shorts. Joggers are not acceptable.

• Proper golf footwear is required. Metal spikes are not allowed.
• All clothing changes, including shoes, must take place in locker rooms.

• Electronic Device Policy

  Cell phone use on the golf course is discouraged. Talking on phones is not permitted in practice areas or inside the Players Clubhouse, though use is allowed on the East Lawn and Veranda Terrace with care not to disturb players near the first tee. All electronic devices, including phones and tablets, must remain on silent or vibrate throughout the property.
